yuck.

During nap time I started another blog entry about what happened last night to DH but it was very wordy and, well, I just couldn't get in the groove. So I'm posting to say that when he and I chatted this morning, I thought he'd been in court all morning but evidently he'd been at the health clinic getting his blood drawn for possible exposure to Hepatitis (A, B, C, D, or..!?!??!), HIV, and who knows what all else. This, after he jumped in as a cover officer on a fight. He had no idea how it had escalated from the original stop, but evidently two of the three officers already on the scene did NOT have the upper hand and quite possibly would have gotten the crap beat out of them if he had not arrived. I guess that's why they call them cover officers.

At least DH is not the one with five staples in his head from the incident. Sigh. I've been in "good supporting wife" mode all day and haven't processed it all. However, it's 5:20 pm and I'm not totally sure what's for dinner so I guess "good supporting wife" mode has been turned off. ha ha.

On the "too much information" front:
The one thing I hated about possible exposures was the six months of "safe" intimacy. Sigh. That always sucked and it was always somebody else's fault versus a decision we made ourselves. GRRRR.

Hang in there.

okay, scary. Relief that he's okay. When do you find out if he was exposed?

Have you had that baby yet?

Meadowlark ~ Thanks for stopping by and commenting! That was totally NOT too much information, I was just too pansy to include it in my post even though it was really bothering me, too. The "protection" part is really sucky. I was surprised when DH mentioned it because this was our first encounter with it so I was unprepared... but of course it's obvious now that I think about it. The one "good" thing is that I'm about to have a baby so, um, those opportunities were going to be suspended for a while anyhow, heh heh.

I have no idea what else they are going to do regarding the exposure, other than keep testing him and he mentioned possibly subpoenaing the suspect's test results to see if anything "interesting" comes up.

And NO, Mrs. Fuzz, NO BABY YET!! Both my other two were born "by now" in the pregnancy so I'm in a bit of shock. I've just given up that it's going to come any time other than on time or possibly late. :(
